Though cycling does not figure prominently among major Dubai sports, groups of expatriates keep the sport alive with regular weekly activities. A tourist on a visit to Dubai hardly finds people on bicycles on the roads. There are no dedicated lanes for cyclists on roads and that makes it difficult to commute in the city on a cycle, if you are one of those environmentally conscious people on a travel to Dubai.

Mohammad Khalifa Al Qubasi kindled the ten pin bowling interest nearly 10 years ago when he won the World Cup Bowling Championship held in Mexico. The youth of the Emirates were keen on pursuing this Dubai sport and subsequently many from around Dubai now travel to Dubai to improve their skills in this wonderful fun-filled activity.
