Constructed around an old settlement, the Hatta village or Dubai heritage village is a recreation of an old style mountain village which is set in an oasis which must be visited during Dubai travel. The Dubai Heritage Village will give you a chance to explore the old charm of palm or barasti leaves and mud houses. This place must be a part of Dubai tours. It has a central fort and tower that is large and overlooking the Dubai Heritage Village. The oasis, the falaj, and vegetated seating areas are the other attractions in this place.
There are signs in English and Arabic using which visitors can see the various sections of the Heritage Village. The village has the Al Husen Majlis where the governor used to receive guests and an old mosque dating back 200 years. Al Husen has the governor’s living quarters, the conference room and weapons room. Several resting areas and outdoor meeting places can also be found in the Heritage Village known as Al Hadeera. History of Dubai Heritage Village: -
Hatta village or Dubai heritage village comprise one of the most ancient village locations in the UAE. This place can be recognized by its fortified buildings and contains roughly thirty houses which have been fully restored to their old Village style. This Traditional Heritage Village, created by weavers and potters was situated near the mouth of the Creek. Here the visitor can go back in time and have a glimpse of Dubai’s ancient heritage. There are traditional houses in the Hatta style in the heritage village. It also contains a majlis, kitchen, store, children’s room and master bedroom. The Dubai heritage village or Hatta Village is overlooked by the Northern and the Southern towers of the Heritage Village which was to protect the city from foreign invasions. These towers were constructed in the 1880s, When Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum bin Butti ruled Dubai.

One of the rooms is a private room that was used to entertain guests and family, the second room has scenes of the villager’s social life and the third shows the outdoor activities of the Village.
The Dubai Heritage Village also contains the Palm Tree products house which has two rooms, one displaying palm tree products of the Village and the other room shows how to make honey from dates and other date products. The Heritage Village also has the traditional handicrafts house which displays several types of regular and traditional occupations namely farmer, blacksmith etc. The photo studio in Dubai Heritage Village enables visitors to click pictures of the local persons in heritage village for remembrance. Livelihood of those in Dubai Heritage Village:-
The livelihood for these people come from money given by visitors when they purchase items etc. They also earn money from the sale of their traditional work such as dyeing of the clothes using the vegetable colors, from farming etc. Some of them work as blacksmiths and earn money by the renting system.
