Rotating skyscraper, Dubai : building in motion
The Dynamic Tower will be self powered and environment friendly and will have the capacity to generate its own electricity, for nearby buildings as well with the help of wind turbines. These will be fitted between each rotating floor. The 80-story building will have up to 79 wind turbines, making it a true green power plant. It is also expected that the tower will be built entirely from prefabricated parts. This will help in lowering costs and a faster construction time by reducing the number of workers on site.
There are several big names such as Viega, LERA, Infinity Design, Rexroth and Bosch who are associated to the project.
Construction:
While putting up the center of the building on site, floors are going to be manufactured in the factory. The construction work will proceed simultaneously. The floors will then be taken to the location where they will be erected along with the concrete center. This advanced method will be both cost effective and time saving. Only 90 workers will be required on the site according to Dynamic Constructions. This method of construction of the floors and center separately, but simultaneously will help in a swift completion of the project.
Rotation:
A phenomenal aspect is that the skyscraper will rotate independently. A new shape and dimension will be rendered to the skyscraper because each and every deck of this Dubai skyscraper can rotate independently giving visitors a visual treat during their Dubai travel. There will be remote control facility in the floors with visitors having the option decide on the direction and speed according to their taste. Also the top five floors will be controlled with the help of voice activated remote controls.
Wind Powered:
The tower will rotate by means of wind energy which would be generated by wind through wind turbines. This process will not lead to any type of air pollution and is clean. The rotating skyscraper in Dubai will have wind turbines placed within its structure. These turbines will produce more energy than what is required by the skyscraper and the extra energy will be used by the other buildings nearby.
Another Rotating Skyscraper:
Many people confuse this beautiful wind powered rotating skyscraper designed by David Fisher with another building designed by Glenn Howells Architects. The other tower only rotates on its base and comes no way near to the magnificence of David Fisher’s rotating skyscraper.
Residents of Dubai will be able to experience a constantly changing and unique skyline because of Dynamic Architecture’s wind powered rotating skyscraper. The central idea to this concept is the central concrete core surrounded by 59 independently rotating levels. Generating its own electricity the skyscraper have the large horizontal wind turbines stacked in between each floor.
