The Palm Islands is another must see travel locale in Dubai which must be seen during your visit to Dubai. These are also called by the names The Palm Dubai and The Palms and are the world’s three largest man-made islands. They are being constructed on the Dubai coast in the UAE. The Palm Islands has also been named “The Eighth Wonder of the World’.

It’s Development
It took four years of feasibility studies and methodical planning before the project was initiated after it was ensured that the islands would not cause harm to the environment. The first stage of The Palm Islands development involved sand transfer and rock placement including the construction of the land foundation. The next stage involved the construction of infrastructure and services along with the construction of 300 meter (990 feet) bridges connecting the islands to the mainland. The last stage involved construction of apartments, homes and townhouses. 
The Palm, Jumeirah - Dubai
The Jumeirah Palm Island was constructed primarily to provide a residential area for relaxation, leisure and living. It will have three types of villas namely town homes, garden homes and signature villas and also themed boutique hotels as well as shoreline apartments.
