Burj Al Arab is actually situated in the Jumeirah Beach area of Dubai, 25 km from the Dubai international airport and 15 km. from the main city centre. It has its own fleet of taxis and 10 chauffeur driven Rolls-Royces. The hotel stands majestically on a man-made island some 280m.offshore and is connected to the mainland by a slender curving causeway. You may need a reservation at the hotel to cross the causeway. Even reservations for a meal require advance notice and casual visitors are not allowed to this place without prior notice.
