Visit Dubai, the desert city to experience the captivating contrast from sweltering heat to a temperature of 1 to 2 degree Celsius as you step into the Snowdrome. One of the three largest indoor skiing venues in the world, this Dubai Ski Resort is spread out over 22,500 square meters and churns out 6,000 tons of artificial snow by snowmakers. Located at one end of the largest Mall in the world, the Mall of the Emirates, this spectacular resort is one of the greatest tourist attractions for those who travel to Dubai.
The Snowdrome was built in December 2005 and designed to resemble the fuselage of an aircraft from the outside. The entrance is from the Mall and double entry doors lead to the Ski slopes on the left and the Snowpark to the right. There are 5 snow ski slopes built in varying heights and the tallest is 400 meters long with a fall of over 60 meters. The width of the slopes ranges from 60 to 80 meters. The theme is mountain based with quite a few maneuvering turns.
